Love With Food Deluxe Box ~ Saturday in the Park ~ June 2015

This Love With Food June box's theme is Saturday in the Park. How cool is that? It makes me wanna play some Chicago~! In total, I received 19 food items, in which there are 4 repeats.

The box includes: 4 individual tea candies, 3 snack bars, 2 waffle cookies, 2 corn puffs, 2 bbq chips, 2 crackers, 2 trail mixes, 1 snack dip, 1 brownie crunch.

The first snack I tried was the Brownie Brittle in chocolate chip. Yummy! It tastes just like how it sounds. It's *crunchy* and muy chocolatey! It's like brownie chips. I give it an A!

Next I tried the Sheffa Everything Savory Bar. It is a "sweet-free snack artfully seasoned and baked to crunch perfection. Made with whole greains, legums, and seeds. No fruits or sugars.

That's just what it is - it isn't sweet - it's a crunchy bar. Slightly salty. I like the idea of it having grains, legumes, and seeds. Healthy! But sadly, it isn't for me because I like my bars softer, and this one was just too hard for my chompers. B- .... Make it an F.

Why? Later on, I kept biting on really hard crumbs. I just thought, that's weird how there are hard objects or whatever I'm eating. When I brushed my teeth later on that night, more little hard objects were in my mouth. I took them out, and these 2 little things looked like rocks.... were my teeth or filling from the back of my tooth! I blame myself on trying to eat a hard snack bar, but at the same time, the Sheffa bar is too hard... So off to the dentist I go.

The next snack I tried is the Cosmos Creations. Wow, what a name, right? ;) It is puffed corn in salted caramel... mmm. It's super sweet. Yup, just as I munched, the soft puffy corn snack nearly melted with the salted caramel flavour... and just yummm... A+

Another variation of the Cosmos Creations puffed corn snack is the coconut crunch. It's coco-nutty & crunchy! I give it an A

And the next is the Lemon Waffle. I'm not so sure about this. A lemon waffle snack? I opened it, and crumbs came spilling out. The texture of this waffle was just like a stale Newton cookie. I don't have the appetite to finish it. C-

Emily's Trail Mix - Just like any crunchy trail mix, it has a slight salty taste. It's a mix of cashews, almonds, raisins, cranberries, & cinnamon apple dices. Great for packing in your backpack for the go, and start hiking! A

Amazing Grass - Green Superfood Chocolate Chip Coconut Snack Bar - This was very "healthy" tasting. Even my mother can tell it was organic! B+

La Panzanella Italian Crackers, Rosemary - The crackers were not very bite-able. I had to break them up into little pieces and make sure I didn't hurt myself with the sharp, pointy edges! C-

I dipped the crackers in the DIPIN pepper & artichoke bruschetta sauce. It was very tasty! A

Balis Best ~ Tea Candy - I opened this, but since I have a fractured tooth, I just had to lick it like a lollipop! It is very tea-tasting.

IPS BBQ Chips - This bag of bbq chips is so small! Either I was so hungry and inhaled them all, or there just wasn't enough in the bag. I like the puffy texture of the chips! A

Pop Chips, Crazy Hot BBQ chips ~ These chips are shaped like discs, and boy, are they crazy hot! I had to repeatedly blow my breath a few times until I gave up before halfway finishing the bag and giving it to my mom! A

All in all, I recommend the regular Love with Food box or the deluxe both if you are a light-snacker or snack-lover and would love to give natural wholesome snacks a try. Once you find something you love, you can buy the full-size snack on their website. www.LoveWithFood.com

Spring Wal*Mart Beauty Box

The Wal*Mart beauty box is a seasonal subscription box, which costs $5. They send out samples and coupons in each box. In my spring box, I received the following:

~ * Dove Body Wash "go fresh" in scent mandarin & tiare flower. It smells like mango! A-

~ * Schwarzkopf Ultime Omega Repair & Moisture Shampoo + Conditioner. They both smell like any regular shampoo and conditioner. A

~ * Simple Cleaning Facial Wipes. This packet includes 7 wipes and has no harsh chemicals or artificial perfume or dyes, so it's best for sensitive skin or for those who are prone to allergies from various ingredients. It certainly is simple because when I used it, it didn't have a scent and my eyes weren't irritated at all. It had no suds like another wipes I use nor did it irritate my eyes or skin, so that is a plus for using Simple! A

~ * Black Perfume Sample. I'm not a fan of this, and wish they had substituted it with another fragrance. I certainly know it was an overstock because this certain fragrance did not sell so well. C+

Packet Samples:

~ * Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion. On the packet it states: Nourishing 24+ hour moisture, no sticky feel. With almond oil. It says "use after cleaning, rinse off". I will give this a try!

~ * Maybelline New York "Fit Me" Matte + Poreless Foundation packet. On the packet it states: 16 shades. There are {Matte+Poreless} {Dewy+Smooth} {Shine-Free+Balance} for different skin types.

I wasn't a real fan of this box. It did cost only $5, but it did not entice me to keep interest in the products. To me, it was nothing special. I will wait for my Wal*Mart Summer Beauty Box though and see if it improves. Otherwise, I might just cancel it.

The total rating is: B-

It seems like I liked the box itself rather than the products inside it.

Underwhelmed, but curious to see what's next! Step it up, Wal*Mart!

I can get these samples just by following certain brands without paying a dime.

Spring ~ April Bella VoxBox ~ from Influenster

Here is what I got in my Bella Vox Box, sent to me from Influenster for review! :)

~ * EcoTools Mattifying Finish Brush
~ * Rimmel London - Kate "Scandaleyes" Mascara
~ * Rimmel London - Kate Lipstick in a red shade
~ * Sally Hansen "Airbrush Legs" Tinted Lotion in shade Medium
~ * Dove Chocolate covered Blueberries (Yummy!)
~ * Not Your Mother's De Ja Vu 'Do Style Extender

Of course when I opened the box, I munched on the Dove chocolate. It was so delicioso, I had to get a new bag from the store!

I also tried the Airbrush Legs by Sally Hansen.

Here is a photo of my legs with it on.

Notice how my feet are a shade lighter than my legs.
That's because I used the tinted lotion! It gave me a healthy glow I am very impressed with. It smooths out any imperfections I have on my legs like scars from bug bites and any veins I have.

Here is the Dove Chocolate with real blueberries I bought!

Not Your Mother's De Ja Vu do has a nice apple-y scent and works well with my coarse, wavy hair. It is infused with red apples & berries. "Lock in style until your next shampoo" Nice!

My favorite item is the EcoTools face brush. I can never get enough brushes in my collection!

To be honest, I have not tried any Rimmel London products before. I am really looking forward to using the lipstick I received. *** Soon to be pictured ***

Overall, I really appreciated that I received a good portion of products. It definitely gave me a chance to try these various brands out. Thank you Influenster for sending these Bella voxes out!

Best Matte Red Liquid Lipstick ~ Stila Beso VS Kat Von D 'Outlaw' and 'Underage Red'

Now I've started an obsession with finding the best matte red liquid lipstick ever since I saw reviews for the Lime Crime Velvetine in "Red Velvet". I thought it was the only one like it of its kind. Nope.

I then found out about Stila's Stay All Day in Beso after comparing the two swatches together. Beso looks like fresh red blood compared to the more darker red of Red Velvet.

After more research, my obsession with Kat von D's products came into line. The Everlasting liquid lipsticks. This made it more even complicated, though, because there are 2 reds. Yup. Outlaw and Underage Red. Both look almost the same in the bottle and especially when swatched! I still could not decide which to get.

Here are the swatches:

Don't they look all the same?

My favorite would be 'Underage Red'. I like it because it looks bright and has better staying power than Stila's Stay All Day. I was quite disappointed when I rubbed over Beso because it smudged. I thought it would stay put, hence the name for it. Kat von D's liquid lipsticks did not smudge or budge when I rubbed them with my finger, nor did water affect either of them, which I was glad about.

Overall, I would pick Kat von D's Everlasting lipstick over Stila's Stay All Day. Which red or shade is best for you? I guess it depends on what suits your eyes! :) Hope you enjoyed my post & helped you decide which lipstick to get.
